Biography

Federico GOBBO (1974) is full professor at the University of Amsterdam (The Netherlands) by special appointment (in Dutch: bijzonder Hoogleraar) in Interlinguistics and Esperanto. He has been Visiting Professor at the University of Turin in Italy and at the Nanjing University in China. He participated in the EU-7FP project MIME (Mobility and Inclusion in a Multilingual Europe) at the University of Milano-Bicocca.

He got his PhD in Computer Science, defended in 2009 at the University of Insubria (Varese-Como, Italy), with a dissertation on constructive adpositional grammars (CxAdGrams).

His main research interests are Language Policy and Planning (in particular: Interlinguistics, Esperanto Studies, Contested Languages, Mobility and Multilingualism) and Constructive Linguistics (in particular: Adpositional Argumentation, Language Acquisition in the Montessori Method). His scholar publications appear in several languages.
